Room XII - The Girl <F-sharp>
Adso in preda alle allucinazioni nella fuga è sceso dalla biblioteca allo scriptorium per poi quasi precipitare nel refettorio. Aprendo la porta della cucina per cercare di bere un po’ d’acqua, vede in un angolo brillare un lume; spaventato, spegne il suo. Nel buio si intravede una figura tozza e oscura fuggire. Dal silenzio emerge un pianto sommesso, un singhiozzo ritmico, di paura. Adso si avvicina e vede una Ragazza che trema.
In the grip of hallucinations during his flight, Adso has descended from the library to the scriptorium, then almost tumbled into the refectory. Opening the kitchen door to seek a little water to drink, he sees a lamp shining in a corner; frightened, he extinguishes his own. In the darkness a squat, dark figure can be glimpsed fleeing. From the silence emerges muted weeping, a rhythmic sob of fear. Adso approaches and sees a Ragazza trembling.
